These works were eventually collected in a book called\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eUnicorns I Have Known\u003c\/em\u003e, featuring not only dozens of photos of Andalusian stallions he styled as unicorns but detailed drawings of unicorn courtship and mating. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSince\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eUnicorns I Have Known\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eis out of print, I have created this fan zine with the goal of making more people aware of this \"forgotten\" aspect of Vavra's work. I also attempt to answer questions like: is art of unicorn \"horn jobs\" inherently queer? Who was \"Barbara Funk\", who Vavra credits as the artist for the drawings of unicorn mating? What does unicorn \"horn honey\" taste like, and what kind of person fantasizes about trying it? And finally: was Vavra actually trying to make a serious art book for adult unicorn fans, or was it all a long practical joke?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis zine is available as a completely free PDF download.
